fire Prevention

Clear out dangerous conditions that could fuel a fire on residential property, commercial property, wooded, overgrown and untended areas.

If you live in Oregon during the summer, you know the damaging effects of seasonal wildfires. What you may not know is that the conditions that allow fire to spread so rapidly through the wilderness can be present on your own property or near your house.

Fortunately, there's a solution. Scott Tankersley Excavation can easily come in, clear back the overgrown vegetation, the dried underbrush and tall grasses, removing the smaller of the trees. Doing so can help protect your property, buildings and animals from the dangers and ravages of fire. Fires don't always occur during fire season. While the prevalence of wildfires is clearly larger in the dry summer months, the fuel that fires need to burn will always be there until you remove it.

STE has the equipment, experience and expertise to remove it.

  • Remove dry or dangerous underbrush
  • Cut back areas of potential fire hazards
  • Expose bare dirt to prevent fire spread
  • Remove leftover vegetation
  • Turn remaining vegetation to small pieces of ground cover

Fire Prevention

In order to perform excavation work, we need to be able to see the ground we plan to work on. Removing the existing brush and smaller trees from the equation in a speedy and efficient manner lets us get to the work of digging and excavating.

However, doing this work over and over again for most excavating jobs means we've gotten pretty good at it. The equipment we use to clear away the underbrush churns through the material at a fast clip, allowing us to clear acres and acres each day. Instead of dangerous foliage that burns and allows trees and large structures to catch fire, you're left with small chopped up pieces that easily mix in with the dirt. Additionally, we can scrape down to bare dirt, further reducing the available fuel that fire needs to spread.
